" It's provocative work. But will it cause indignation or elevate the spirit ? "
Professor Ulrich Gansert writes about Yannick Hopt's summer 2013 exhibition in Vienna.
"Hopt has an unselfconscious approach as he portrays subjects like prudery, bigotry, art and eroticism. His works can touch the viewer at a deep, introspective level. Hopt's love of creative and emotional forces are clearly evident in the colors and symbolism he portrays. He has reached beyond Pop Art and demonstrated his personal journey into the field of what could be called New Art."
Professor Gansert continued : "At last, here is an exhibition which will awaken us from our heatwave stupor, especially as the subject matter is as hot as the summer sun. Hopt's paintings capture the energy between geometric forms and sensuous curves. That energy will resonate somewhere inside everybody who views his work."
